OLNOR - New Orleans Rhythm & Blues & the Birth of Rock n' Roll
Course Description
New Orleans music and musicians played a key role in the development and popularity of what came to be known as rock n' roll. Some, like Fats Domino, were New Orleans natives who became famous worldwide. Others, like Little Richard and Ray Charles, spent time in New Orleans developing their style and recording before moving on. This course will present many of these artists and their music and explore their influence on what became known as rhythm & blues on rock n' roll.
