Course Description

 

In this course we will read and analyze various key works of medieval literature and discuss them in a group/ class setting. The goal of this course
is to provide an overview of medieval literature before the Early Modern and Renaissance periods. Part 1 of the course deals with Old English texts, while Part 2
will deal with Middle English texts.

 

Required Reading: Beowulf: A Dual-
Language Edition by Howell D. Chickering
(used on Amazon or Abe Books)

Continuing Education Programs
