OLFOREN - INTRODUCTION TO FORENSIC DEATH INVESTIGATIONS
Course Description

Learners will be explicitly informed on the general on-goings of a medical examiner/coroner’s office, learn about pertinent methodologies for analyzing
human remains, and will be introduced to complimentary fields such as forensic anthropology, entomology, and genealogy. Our class will review case
studies to get an informed perspective on how various agencies and forensic professionals navigate the criminal justice landscape. Additionally, we will review groundbreaking research ongoing in the world of forensic science that augments how forensic professionals interact with their casework. After
taking this course, learners will leave with a clearly defined understanding of medicolegal death investigations, and their allied fields, in the United States.
