Course Description

Upon completion of this training course, participants should have a basic understanding of the following: 1.Collection versus Compliance child support enforcement remedies. 2.Administrative versus Judicial child support enforcement remedies. 3.Caseworker’s action(s) to work and monitor a collection case. 4.The extent of caseworker/agency discretion in determining the appropriateness of applying various compliance measures in a given case situation. 5.Criteria for application of various enforcement remedies. 6.The systematic approach to follow when applying the enforcement remedies. 7.Enforcement remedies that a caseworker utilizes when an NCP meets the delinquent criteria (manual enforcement options). 8.Enforcement remedies that LASES automatically initiates when an NCP meets the delinquent criteria (automated enforcement options). 9.Forms that fulfill the notice requirement to an NCP prior to initiating enforcement remedies. 10.The role of the Arrears Collection Unit when enforcing arrears only cases.
