Course Description

The Uniform Interstate Family Support Act (UIFSA) is a comprehensive act focusing on the interstate/international establishment of parentage, child and/or medical support orders, and for enforcement and modification of support orders across state and international borders. The first course, UIFSA – Interstate, is designed to provide a broad foundation of knowledge regarding interstate case procedures and practices as defined in Articles I – VI of UIFSA. This 2-day course is the pre-requisite for a 1-day course, UIFSA – Convention & FRC, which expands the discussion of UIFSA to include international case procedures as defined in Article VII of UIFSA.
