Course Description

Sexual harassment, discrimination charges, and employee drug testing are issues in today’s workplace. Students will become familiar with federal and state employment laws. They will learn how to assist attorneys in many ways, including the everyday practice of employment law, preparing for administrative hearings before the Equal Opportunity Commission, and litigation in court.

This course is a part of the Paralegal Studies Program. You must apply and be accepted into the program in order to enroll in this course.

Prerequisites

This is an elective course in the Paralegal Studies Certificate Program. Students must have successfully completed the four core courses of the program in order to enroll in this course. Principles of Paralegal Studies, Legal Research, Legal Case Analysis, and Civil Litigation I
