Course Description

Intellectual property is the fastest-growing segment of the legal industry. This course will introduce you to various areas of intellectual property, including patent, trademark, and copyright law. You’ll learn how to prepare pleadings and other documents and will also explore the relationship between intellectual property law and other areas of law (such as personal injury, product liability, general business law, etc.).

This course is a part of the Paralegal Studies Program. You must apply and be accepted into the program in order to enroll in this course.

Prerequisites

This is an elective course in the Paralegal Studies Certificate Program. Students must have successfully completed the four core courses of the program in order to enroll in this course.
