Course Description

This course will introduce students to the basics of learning experience design. In doing so, it will provide the conceptual background and hands-on practice that will prepare students for creating an effective learning experience. Topics include the design and development process; the science of learning, focusing on various design models; writing measurable learning objectives; designing authentic assessments; curating effective learning resources, with emphasis on accessibility and copyright; and choosing appropriate tools to begin building courses. Finally, students will submit a completed module and provide detailed feedback on sample materials. This four-week online course is self-paced.


Courses are open to all participants, not just those pursuing the certificate program.
