OFBT - Basketmaking Techniques - Weaving a Ribbed Basket
Course Description
The ribbed basket is a favorite style and can be made in many different sizes and shapes. It can also be embellished with different handle styles and types of weavers. This class will introduce the weaving of one basic ribbed basket and will focus on weaving techniques and use of materials. The baskets will be woven using commercially available reed from the core of a tropical vine. The skills learned can be a foundation for future basketweaving projects. Materials will be purchased by the instructor, but a list of suggested basic equipment will be provided to participants by the instructor.Notes

Intermediate English Skills
