CM 4210 - Construction Contracting
Course Description
Principles and theory of construction company ownership and organization, the estimate and bid process, construction contracts, bonds, insurance, business methods and plans, management, administration, labor law and relations, safety, and avoidance of claims.
Learner Outcomes
Upon completion, a student will be able to:
- Recognize various forms of business ownership and contracting systems used in the construction industry.
- Describe contract provisions and the legal aspects required throughout various stages of the construction process.
- Identify the various costs involved in a construction project and the legal aspects of such costs.

Online Format: eight week enrollment period; 7 modules 2 exams
Special Requirements: a computer with reliable internet access, a webcam, and a headset or speakers, and a microphone.
