Course Description

This is a class designed for the beginning bird watcher. This class will consist of 4 weekly sessions. In the first session, you will be introduced to binoculars and field guides and basic information about birdwatching. The following two weeks, we will go on bird walks around the property and identify as many birds as possible. Bird walks may last up to 2 hours (at a very leisurely pace) so mobility is required. After the bird walks, we will review what we've seen and discuss tips and tricks for identifying birds by sight and sound. During the last class, I will offer resources and information on where and how to use your new birding skills. Binoculars and field guides will be loaned to participants.
