OFPOTTERY - Introduction to Pottery/Hand Building Ceramics from Start to Finish
Course Description
Learn to make ceramics from start to finish with this hands-on creative course. In this course you will learn the basics in pottery. We will build a mug, centerpiece bowl, and bird feeder using slab building and coil building techniques. You will also learn different glazing and decorating techniques such as sgraffito, the use of a celadon glaze
over texture, and the peacock glaze technique. At the end of this course, you will get to take your pieces home to show off with pride.
Required Supplies: X-acto knife or similar, wooden rolling pin, med bowl or small bucket.
Optional Supplies: pottery carving tools, fan paint brush with thick hair like bristles.
