DevOps Engineers are IT professionals who collaborate with software developers, system operators and other IT staff members to create and develop systems that support the users of the infrastructure. They break down the wall between development and operations to produce effective, efficient, and reliable products. This program will introduce you to the major principles of DevOps, such as continuous delivery, continuous feedback, and continuous improvement. The course includes high-level overviews of various concepts and tools, such as Cloud, Analytics, and Containers. DevOps Engineers can be a valuable asset to any business or organization and change the software production landscape.

As businesses require more custom-built software, the teams that develop, deploy, and maintain that software need optimizing, and professionals with those skills are in demand. In 2019, there were over 70,500* job postings for individuals with a DevOps skill set. That’s nearly a 20% increase in jobs from 2018 to 2019. (*Source: Burning Glass Technologies)
