Course Description

This capstone course serves as the culminating experience for the Learning Design Certificate. Students will curate, refine, and present a professional digital portfolio demonstrating mastery of program competencies. Through intentional artifact selection, reflective analysis, and personal branding, students will articulate their capabilities in relationship building, design, development, and project management. 

Skill Statements:

By the end of the course, learners will have demonstrated their ability to: 

  • Establish effective relationships with stakeholders to design and develop quality learning experiences.      

  • Design learning experiences aligned to industry practices and quality design standards.      

  • Build engaging and accessible learning experiences using contemporary tools and technologies.     

  • Utilize project management strategies to complete projects on time, within scope, and to quality standards that meet stakeholder needs.   

Requirements:

  • This online course requires access to a computer with internet access, email, an Internet browser (Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox recommended), MS PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat Reader.

Format:

  • Online self-paced with four weeks to complete the course.
  • Courses are open to all participants, not just those pursuing the Certificate.
