Course Description

Humans have always sought explanations for the phenomena that shape their lives to answer the big questions: How does the weather work? What happens
after we die? How did the world come to be? In ancient Egypt, myths provided these answers. In this class, we will dive into the rich mythology of ancient Egypt to
discover how this culture understood the cosmos, human relationships, natural forces, and more. We will also enjoy dramatic and exciting tales about the gods, retelling the conflicts and adventures of Isis, Osiris, Horus, Set, and others. Through these stories, we will investigate and discuss the religious, political, and social structures of
one of the world's oldest societies.
